Balara Filters & Park is 60 hectares field located in Diliman Village, Quezon City, Metro Manila. It was first opened for public in 1953, and since then known as popular weekend and holiday destination among the citizens.
This site is meant to be a display of photos and archives belong to the citizens, showing and connecting between collective memories of the citizens and Balara Filters in the past. This project is a research of Metropolitan Alliance for the Fixing and Development of All Kanto and Sidewalks (PH) and Surabaya Contemporary Heritage Council (ID). This research is supported by Jorge B. Vargas Museum and Filipiniana Research Center, UP Diliman.
